Scuzzle (noun)
/ ˈskʌzəl /

  1. A puzzle so entangled it forces you to question not only your escape, but the very nature of reality itself.

  2. A trial designed to pit human wit against unseen powers—often those who watch from gilded towers, wagering on whether you will break or transcend.

My Involvement

I served as the Game Architect, Project Manager, and Lead Technical Designer for our Unreal Engine 5 interactive puzzle game, overseeing the project from concept to showcase. I pitched the island theme, structured the narrative, and established workflows with Perforce version control, which I set up and maintained.

A core part of my role was ensuring quality across all aspects of the build. I designed and implemented puzzles (pressure plates, bell mechanics, maze generation, buoyant crate jumping puzzle, and death run cannons) with modular blueprints and physics, while also contributing to environment design by optimizing assets, fixing UVs and tiling issues, refining lighting and materials, and balancing performance with visual fidelity. I took responsibility for polishing and repairing broken systems wherever needed, ensuring the final product met professional standards.

As Game Architect, I bridged programming, environment, audio, UI/UX, and narrative, keeping systems aligned and documentation clear. I also created advertisements and promotional visuals, extending my work into branding and public presentation.

This role combined game design, production leadership, and quality ownership, resulting in a polished, showcase-ready escape room game praised for its visuals, gameplay, and overall finish.
